How to Choose a Mask for your Skin Type

ut of all of our 7 masks, each one has different strengths in alleviating skin imperfections and impurities. Although all of our masks are amazing in their own ways, our masks can be used based on your specific skin type. Let’s look at the different skin types and talk about which mask would best suit your needs.

NORMAL SKIN
Normal skin tends to be not too oily and not too dry, just right. Usually normal skin is smooth and clean with little need for any excessive care. Typically this skin type does not have many issues, but when the menstrual cycle comes around there can be some problems our masks can help with.

MASKS TO TRY OUT

OILY SKIN
Oily skin tends to be associated with a slick appearance and larger pores. Sometimes oily skin can be oily from lack of moisturizing as well. This skin type is usually associated with acne and oil forming in multiple areas on the face. For this skin type we recommend looking for masks that have these following ingredients: Activated charcoal, thyme, witch hazel, hemp seed, lemon, rose, rosemary, coffee, peppermint, and orange. These ingredients will help with oil production and maintaining acne.

COMBINATION SKIN
This skin type is associated with oily and dry skin depending on certain parts of the face. The T-Zone (chin, forehead, and nose) is the most common area to be oily while the cheeks stay fairly dry. When looking for a mask, we recommend looking for these ingredients for combination skin: evening primrose, castor seed, rose hip, sea buckthorn, sunflower, lemon, rose, and rosemary.

DRY SKIN
Dry skin is usually more dry than normal skin. It has a rough and tight textured appearance. Some dry skin can be ashy or red from the dryness. The skin can also crack with this skin type as well. This kind of skin can also be very itchy for the person who has it. We recommend looking for masks that contain these ingredients: argan oil, olive, coconut, jojoba, almond, avocado, pomegranate, rosehip, sea buckthorn, sesame, sunflower, cocoa, mango, and shea butter.

The ingredients we recommend to look for in masks are: calendula, lavender, oats, matcha, and avocado.
